Happy Labor Day! It’s Creative Me Monday!

Happy Labor Day!

Do you have big plans for today?  Perhaps a cookout or a Labor Day picnic?  Will you be celebrating with family and friends, or just hanging out at home, enjoying the day off?  Us?  We’re just hanging at home, enjoying our time together before jumping back into a busy week.

I sat behind my sewing machine on Saturday to make a gift for my sister!  I told you it had been awhile.  It was so nice to hear the whir of the machine while I stitched this…

Appliqued flowers on a gauze towel, with a little bit of embroidery to encourage her while she’s doing the dishes.  Did you see the french knots?  My first time with them… so much fun to create!  I think she loved it.

You all have been wearing your creative hats too!  Last week we had our best turnout ever!  Let’s make this week even bigger! This week’s featured link is this gorgeous top and pants set from Avery and Anderson.  I love everything about this right down to the catalog-worthy photography.  Go on over and check out the full post!

Okay, now it’s your turn!  Link up your projects and I’ll pick one project to feature next Monday.  Please make sure to post the Creative Me Monday button on your blog or link back to The Southern Institute in your post to be in the running for the featured spot!  You can link up more than one project if you want to.  Please link up projects or recipes only, no shops.  Thanks!

I have a “Featured” button too!  If you’re project has been in the featured spot on Creative Me Monday, please do grab the button for your blog!
