Creative Me Link Up and Giveaway, Sponsored by Avodah Coffee.

The Southern Intitute

The Southern Institute

Today is kind of an exciting day around here…

It’s My Birthday!

Just for fun…
The first person to correctly guess how old I am ,
(I’m the one on the left),
will win something fun from Styled by Tori Spelling.

Leave a comment at the end of the post with your best guess at my age.

This week’s Creative Me is sponsored by Avodah Coffee.  Avodah is a new coffee roasting company owned by the lovely Jessica (co-founder of Allume Social and avid coffee lover) and her husband Jordan.  Tom and I have tried three different varieties, one of them decaf, and agree that it is top quality coffee and very good.

“The word Avodah is Hebrew, and describes action that is simultaneously work, worship and service. It means that the work we do is more than a job – that bringing the awesome to our customers is about serving you, the farmers who grow the coffee, and those who benefit from the organizations we support.  All this combines under a lifestyle of Avodah, through which all we do becomes an offering.  When you see Avodah, you know you’re getting great coffee with a great purpose.”  (From their website)

This is a great company that I encourage you coffee-lovers to support.  A portion of all of the sales goes to wonderful ministries, some of which our family already supports: Samaritan’s Purse, Compassion International, KIVA, Freeset, and NURU.  You can feel great knowing that your money is going to help those in need.

Jessica and Jordan are giving one Southern Institute reader one pound of their choice of coffees from their wonderful selection.  Use the Rafflecopter widget to enter.  You don’t have to link up with Creative Me to enter.  I’ll pick a winner on Friday and notify the lucky winner by email.

I’m not going to choose a featured blog this week… this post is already getting pretty long as it is.  We’ll resume with the featured blog next week, so link up and link often to increase your chances at the coveted spot!

  3. You can link up as many things as you’d like, the more the better your chances of being the featured link next week!
  4. Visit at least two other blogs and leave some comment love.  We are a community that supports one another, right? Right?
  5. You can link up your shops as long as you sell handmade goods.  (I also have advertising available here on the blog if you’re interested, and I just cut my rates.)
Don’t forget to grab and proudly display the “featured” button if you’re project has been featured at The Southern Institute.

Happy birthday. I’m horrible with ages! How about 37? But if you’re like 25 I’m so sorry!!!

  3. blesid says:

Happy Birthday!!! My link up number is 21 … so I’m gonna guess that, lol … and I’m not even going to ask you for ID! I would never make it as the “guess your age and weight” guy at the fair. {You aren’t gonna make us guess your weight next week, are you?} jules

  4. Happy Birthday! I’m gonna guess 29!? I just turned 29 a couple of weeks ago! :)

  5. Sherry says:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I have no idea how old you are and fear that guessing is dangerous! 25?? Lol! You look fabulous whatever age you are! Thanks for the link up. Happy 4th also.

  6. Happy Birthday!! Thanks for hosting tonight! XO, Aimee

  7. Happy Happy Birthday beautiful girl! May you have an amazing day and be spoiled rotten!

  8. Happy Birthday to you! 39? Hope it has been a good one for you! Thanks for hosting this party.

  9. Hilani Ellis says:

Thanks a bunch Jennie! Have an awesome week! Happy, Happy Birthday!

  10. Meeha Meeha says:

Happy, happy birthday! I hope you had a super-duper wonderful time!

  11. Happy Birthday. You are a brave lady to have people guessing your age. I’m going to go with 33, but that’s just ’cause I’m almost 35 and you look to be younger than me. I figure since 40 is the new 30, being in your early 30′s isn’t even in your prime yet!

  12. 34? I only guess that because I’m 34 and you look about the same age as me!

  13. Hope you have a great birthday and would it be the big 40? Don’t shoot me if I’m way off but I’m 43 and you look close to my age

  14. Thanks for hosting!

  15. Happy 31st? Birthday, Jenny!

  16. Jenny, happy birthday! I’m terrible at the whole age-guessing thing, so I won’t even try.

  17. Cathy says:

Happy Birthday!! I’m not very good at guessing ages…I’ll try 33.

  18. Happy Happy Birthday to you! I’m going to guess 38? :)

  19. rebekahdawn says:

I’m going to guess 32. Happy birthday!

  20. Karen says:

I do follow you on my rss….love your blog so much – and so excited for this giveaway – my hubby would love some awesome new coffee for his morning brew! Have a blessed day!

  21. Beth says:

First, let me say I am terrible at this, so if my guess is way off, it’s a reflection of me, not you. I hope I won’t be as far off as the kid at Jack in the Box who offered 48-year-old-me the Senior Citizen discount on a Coke last week. (I took it–figured the 54 cents off took the sting off…)

My guess is: 32 years old. But whichever birthday this is, I hope it kicks off a wonderful year for you!

  22. Beth says:

I’ve been following you via email, but just add the RSS element so I am doubly sure I won’t miss a blog post.

  23. Simoney says:

    Happy happy birthday Jenny!!
You look so young, but are so wise and motherly.
    I’m gonna have to say… a young 39???
Ooh is that too high? From my perspective of 42, 39 is still young to me.
Remember I only said 39 because I think you are so WISE
    xx

  24. Laura says:

Happy Birthday Jenny, have a fantastic day. I guess 36.

  25. Happy birthday! Thanks for hosting. This is my first link up. I’ll say you’re 35.

  26. Thanks so much for hosting and Happy Birthday! I’m going to guess 35?

  32. Brandy says:

Happy Birthday! I’m horrible at judging ages! I’m going to guess 36! I’m almost 40, so no matter what, you’ve got to be younger than me :) Hope you have a great day!

  33. I like perusing your web site. Thanks a lot!

  34. Hi there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site?
I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
