Playmobil Inspired T-Shirt.

There are two little boys in our family who love to play with Playmobil and Legos.  They also grow out of their clothes almost as soon as I buy them for them it seems, so we don’t spend a lot of money on the boys’ clothes.  Target, Old Navy, and Goodwill are the stores that most of their shirts are from.  I love to buy a solid colored or striped shirt for $3 or $4 then embellish them to look more expensive… like something you might find in a cool kids’ shop.  A little while back I came up with this little shirt, using this image I found online.

I saved the image and used my Silhouette Cameo and black matte transfer vinyl (my first time using it) to make a great shirt for Luke.  I love the way it looks on the gray and white stripes.  This has become one of Luke’s favorite shirts to wear this summer.

I’m totally impressed by the heat transfer vinyl from Silhouette.  It was easy to use and washes really well!  After several washes there is no fading and not a crack to be found.  I will definitely be using more of that stuff!  Next in the works, a Lego shirt for Levi.

BTW… Silhouette.com is having a sale!!! You can get 40% off supplies with the promo code CRAFT!  I just stocked up.

Jenny–I need you to come over and teach me how to use my Silhouette machine. I’ve had it for over a year and have never figured out how to use it. And I see so many bloggers doing fun things with it!!!
