Do you remember when Martha Stewart first came on the scene? I don’t, but that’s because it seems like Martha has always been a part of our lives. Martha Stewart has shown us how to make our homes beautiful, how to organize, and how to simplify. Quite simply, she is a rock star.
Today I want to show you what Avery and Martha Stewart have teamed up to offer… a whole line of home office products! They sent me several to review and share with you! The Martha Stewart Home Office Collection helps you label, identify and simplify your household. Who doesn’t need help with that (is it just me?)?
Here are a few of the Martha Stewart Home Office products I have in my home…
One of my favorite products is the self adhesive blue pocket in the bottom left corner. It’s a clear plastic pocket that adheres to smooth surfaces and it’s great! We always have bunches of papers coming home from school. Some of them are for keeps and some get recycled. I put this pocket inside one of our kitchen cabinets and use it to hold the important papers, like the current month’s school calender. It’s always right there, at a glance, anytime I open the cabinet (which is several times a day). Major convenience without the mess!
Another favorite of mine is the magazine file in the top right corner. I use these for holding patterns, stencils, and many other things. I don’t think I’ve ever used one to hold magazines! They are too versatile to just hold magazines, don’t you think? Right now I have five or six lined up along my shelf. They keep me sane.
How do you organize your things?
Would you like some help?
Avery and Martha Stewart would like to offer one reader three Martha Stewart Home Office products. The winner will receive my three favorite products: the magazine file, the self adhesive pocket, and a set of vertical file folders! Enter through the Rafflecopter widget below. The contest will stay open through tomorrow night, and I’ll email the winner. Good luck!

Great giveaway! My organizing tip… on the steps are small baskets with each persons name on them. Any ‘things’ that are found go into their baskets for them to put away (usually in their own rooms). Cheers!
I love that idea! Hmmm, we live in a ranch. I wonder where I could incorporate that.
My organizing tip is try to give away things you do not need. It is easier to keep organized with less stuff.
We’ve been doing a lot of that lately… much to our children’s dismay!
I love using my white board to keep the week’s events organized.
My organizing tip is to use a different color pen for each person on our calendar. I don’t have to write who’s event just the time and place and everyone knows…I’ve been doing this for years in our family calendar and my personal planner…saves time, space and makes the at a glance easier!
Brilliant! I love that!
I love using old crates and jars.I also like using containers that weren’t intended on using for organization like my champagne bucket for my paintbrushes!
I use mason jars for everything! I love them for storage!
My biggest organizing tip uses the old phrase “a place for everything and everything in its place.” Toys, supplies, everything has a special spot that it is stored in so that we can always find what we’re looking for. It makes life easier!
I try to handle paper only once – if it’s not important I trash it.
I wish I was better at that.
I love using the inside of all doors for hanging storage. It’s great for toys medicine teas bathroom things.
My favorite tip is using stackable containers — like baskets!!
Giant piles…
Which is why i could use the help
Have a place for everything, so it belongs somewhere and just float around looking for a home.
My problem is that I have created places for things… but NO ONE USES THEM! ARGH!
I just try to have a place for everything. It’s those little things without a home that make a home feel cluttered.
I use my phone as my calendar since I always have my phone with me.
My organizing tip is simple….if you put your hand on something don’t put it down til it is in its place. I am still a great work in progress but I am getting better.
Handle each piece of paper only once – act on it, file it, delegate it or throw it out
I love boxes… And i love this adhesive pocket.
My best organizing tip is that you can’t organize clutter. You need to pare down.
I love, love, love MS office products! My tip would be to keep a simple home organization binder…just a notebook of some important papers to have handy.
My organizing tip – is to go through that clutter every week – If I don’t it starts to take over – like it is right now *gasp*!!!
I hear ya, sister!
The thing that has made the most impact in our home is labels! I label everything I can, so that EVERYONE knows where things go. I try to keep the labels pretty, but honestly, in the long run a scribbled label is better than no label.
I agree! Better than nothing!
