I love a beautifully wrapped gift, but while ribbons and bows are nice, sometimes a simple gift embellishment can be just enough. This year I used my Silhouette Cameo to create paper cuttings (is that what you call these?) that I simply adhered to gifts with my handy scrapbooking tools from David Tutera. I really love the way that they turned out. No ribbons or bows required. They make a bold statement under the tree and they’re simply beautiful.
The nativity scene is my favorite.
There are so many things you can do with this idea… you can frame them, glue them to a white background and string them up as a bunting, or use them as gift tags by making them tiny, like this…
If you don’t have a Silhouette, a gift embellishment like these can easily be made with your computer and printer, a self healing mat, and an exacto knife. What about a snowflake? Here’s one that would look beautiful in a glittery white cardstock…
Think outside of the bow when it comes to wrapping presents!
Have fun and Have a very Merry Christmas!
