Upcycled Trinket Shelf.

Happy New Year! It’s that time when we’re all focused on making resolutions, one of which is often getting more organized at home. I know my kids love their tiny toys–you know the ones that don’t always fit in with the other labeled bins, but they can’t bear to part with. I’ve had the idea for this upcycled trinket shelf for a while now, and thought this was the perfect time to share it! And don’t be fooled–there’s no fancy cardboard cutting here! upcycled-trinket-shelf If you’ve ever bought light bulbs in bulk packs then you’re probably familiar with the divider packaging they have inside. Just pop that little guy out, grab a hammer and nails, and we’re ready to hang your trinket shelf!

To hang your shelf, hold it up on the wall where want it and use a pencil to mark where your nails will go. When you hammer your nails, make sure to leave them sticking out a bit so that they can support the cardboard. Then all you need to do is hang it up!

You can hang it like a diamond and use it for your pretty craft supplies,

hang it in your girl’s room,

or add a few boy toys.

How easy was that? What would you put in your little upcycled trinket shelf?

Great idea! I think I’ll take the time to spray paint or cover with fabric to blend it with the decor a bit.
