The Jersey Glam Dress by Kelly Crawford (Sewing in No Man’s Land)
Kelly Crawford, the designer/blogger behind this beautiful design says, “I was so tired of always hearing how easy jersey dresses were to sew just using a tank top or tee that you already had. I never had any of them fit properly and was always frustrated at the wasted time and fabric. I scoured the internet looking for a good modest jersey dress pattern and came up empty handed. I took this as a sign that I should make my own. A simple jersey dress that with the right fabric that could go from laid back & comfy to GLAM! This dress is a quick sew and a perfect project for serger lovers (you can do almost the entire dress on the serger). With sleeves and a knee length hem line it can be worn with some leather boots and a comfy sweater in the fall or strappy sandals in the summer. This pattern runs slightly large but can be sized down or just cinched with the belt included in the pattern. Happy sewing! And GO GLAM!

The Vintage Inspired Train Case by Gingercake
When my grandmother came to visit when I was a little girl, she had the coolest train case that would sit on the dresser of our guest room. My grandmother was always fancy and I loved peeking in her case and seeing all her make up, brushes, and jewelry. It was so perfectly organized! I have been wanting to sew my own version of a train case for quite some time. This modern version is classic in shape like the old ones but more versatile since it is made of fabric instead of hard plastic. It holds its shape nicely when sitting on your dresser but also can be flexible when packed in your suitcase. The train case measures 7” tall and the base is 6” x 9.5”. The handle adds and extra 3” to the top. The train case also features a 20” zipper opening and 4 interior pockets for extra organization. Although the train case is very simple and straightforward to make, it does require some experience at sewing through thick layers, around curves, and installing a zipper and binding. Not to worry! This pattern gives you plenty of tips and tricks to make your own adorable Vintage Inspired Train Case look beautiful and professionally made.
